Sri Lanka’s overall inflation rate based on the national consumer price index (NCPI) fell to minus 0.2 per cent in September from 1.1 per cent in August.
Non-food inflation fell to minus 0.7 per cent in the month from 0.2 per cent in August.
The NCPI for all items for September was 203.1, a decrease of 1 index point, or 0.48 percentage points, compared to August, for which the index was 204.1.
