Sri Lanka’s garment exports declined by 1.4 per cent to $2.2 billion in the first half of 2024, compared to the same period in 2023.
Textile exports fell by 15 per cent, while exports of other made-up textile articles rose by 7.3 per cent.
Overall, textiles and garments accounted for nearly 50 per cent of the country’s industrial exports.
