My screen time is at an all-time high, and I’m blaming it on the fact that I spend my nights scrolling for vacation inspo. All it takes is a photo of a palm tree to get me going (true story). I’ll double tap, screenshot, save, share, and spam the group chat with pictures of tropical villas, pose ideas, and of course, stylish looks to re-create. So when a weekend trip to the Hamptons finally landed on my calendar, I was fully prepared. I’m always unabashedly living vicariously through my favorite influencers, who also happen to be my co-workers. Case in point: fashion editor Anna LaPlaca. And when we both went to the Maje x Surf Lodge Pop-Up Shop in Montauk, I got to fangirl over her looks IRL. I’ll admit it: I looked cute, but her dinner outfit was literally goals. Everything she’s wearing in the photo above is from Maje’s new spring/summer collection, so now, I’m booking an imaginary vacation to the South of France and adding Anna’s entire ensemble to my cart.
It’s safe to say that I’m president of Anna’s (and Maje’s) fan club, and I’m still swooning over this look. While I recover, I’ll give you the inside scoop on why it’s the center of my summer-vacation mood board. Maje is known for its blend of boho-chic and elevated classics for everyone. Founder Judith Milgrom says that this particular collection was inspired by her last trip to Ibiza, where she was “enjoying the wild beaches, the joyous attitude, freedom, and style.” The pieces in this line embody all of that and more, and Anna’s outfit is no exception. The balloon sleeves and crinkle-effect pleated skirt play into the bohemian aesthetic while the orange hue brings a trendy element. Anna’s leather clogs offer an element of surprise to keep all of her IG followers on their toes. And trust me—it’s working. If these photos have stopped you in your tracks, you’ll want to scroll through everything else that Maje’s spring/summer collection has to offer. Crochet detailing, printed maxi dresses, and tailored wardrobe basics are waiting for you at the end of this page—just keep scrolling.
