Essity’s targets to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
The company aims for a 35 per cent reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 and a 35 per cent reduction in Scope 3 emissions.
These goals align with the UN Global Compact’s ‘Business Ambition for 1.5°C’.
