President Donald Trump has declared that all branded or patented medicines imported into the US would face a 100-per cent tariff from October 1, unless a manufacturer is building production units within the US.
“’IS BUILDING’ will be defined as, ‘breaking ground’ and/or ‘under construction.’ There will, therefore, be no Tariff on these Pharmaceutical Products if construction has started,” he said.
