President Donald Trump has announced that he would reveal details of a major new trade deal with a “big, and highly respected, country”.
The US may announce trade pacts with some of its largest trade partners as early as this week, US treasury secretary Scott Bessent had recently said, offering no details.
It is negotiating with 17 such partners but had not yet engaged with China.
