Turkiye and UAE have signed a TRY–AED currency swap deal worth TRY 198 billion/AED 18 billion (~$4.9 bn), along with 2 MoUs to boost local currency use, trade, and cross-border payments.
The agreements aim to strengthen financial cooperation, link payment systems (FAST and Aani), support CBDC development, and promote economic growth through enhanced liquidity, efficiency, and technological collaboration.
