The Philippines and the UAE recently signed an FTA in Abu Dhabi that aims at reducing tariffs, enhancing market access for goods and services, raising investment flows, and creating new opportunities for Filipino professionals and service providers in the latter.
It also covers digital trade, sustainable development, intellectual property, competition and consumer protection, and government procurement.
