The UK consumer price index (CPI) rose by 3.8 per cent YoY in September, unchanged from August; it remained unchanged on a monthly basis.
Core CPI (excluding energy, food, alcohol and tobacco) rose by 3.5 per cent YoY in the month, down from a 3.6-per cent YoY rise in August.
The CPI for clothing and footwear rose by 0.5 per cent YoY and 2.4 per cent month on month in September.
