The UK consumer price index (CPI) rose by 3 per cent in the 12 months to January 2025—up from 2.5 per cent in the 12 months to December 2024, official statistics show.
On a monthly basis, CPI fell by 0.1 per cent in January compared with a 0.6-per cent fall in the same month last year.
Producer input prices fell by 0.1 per cent in the period while producer output prices rose by 0.3 per cent.
