The number of payrolled UK employees rose by an estimated 9,000 month on month (MoM) and by 44,000 YoY in January 2025.
Between November 2024 and January 2025, that number fell by 9,000 quarter on quarter, but rose by 72,000 YoY.
The employment rate for people aged 16 to 64 was estimated at 75 per cent in that quarter, while the unemployment rate was estimated at 4.4 per cent.
