UniSA and Zhengzhou University researchers have created a biodegradable PLA/boron nitride nanosheet fabric that reflects 96 per cent of sunlight and cools skin by up to 3.8°C.
Five times more breathable than cotton, it passively regulates temperature for outdoor workers and athletes.
Made via scalable electrospinning, it shows strong potential for commercial cooling apparel.
