Balrampur Chini Mills Limited has laid the foundation for India’s first industrial-scale PLA biopolymer plant in Kumbhi, Uttar Pradesh, in the presence of CM Yogi Adityanath.
With a $327.14 million investment, the 80,000 TPA plant will be fully powered by renewable energy, creating jobs and reducing plastic reliance.
It aligns with India’s sustainability goals, boosting biopolymer production and exports.
