Ahead of the 14th WTO biennial ministerial conference (MC14) this month, Washington is reportedly pushing to make permanent a global ban on tariffs on e-commerce.
The US now has 22 co-sponsors on this issue.
The moratorium has been renewed every two years since it began in 1998.
India is set to oppose the proposal for a permanent extension of the moratorium at the MC14.
