Lummus Technology and Sumitomo Chemical have announced the commercial availability of their PMMA chemical recycling technology.
Validated at a pilot plant in Japan, the process depolymerises end-of-life PMMA into high-purity MMA monomer, cutting lifecycle emissions by 50 per cent and enabling scalable, closed-loop recycling through commercial licensing.
