Kohl’s has appointed Michael J Bender as chief executive officer, effective November 23, 2025, after serving as interim CEO since May.
The board selected him following an external search, citing his strong leadership and strategic progress.
Bender, a former Walmart and Eyemart Express executive, will retain his board seat and aims to accelerate the company’s transformation with a customer-first focus.
