From January to August 2024, US textile and apparel imports increased by 6.68 per cent to 66,428.351 million SME, driven by higher imports of cotton and man-made fibre products.
Apparel imports saw a modest 1.41 per cent rise.
However, exports fell by 3.24 per cent to 1,450.080 million kg, with declines in apparel and yarn exports, while fabric exports grew slightly.
