From January to July 2024, US textile and apparel imports rose by 5.7 per cent, driven by higher cotton and man-made fibre product imports, according to the Office of Textiles and Apparel.
Meanwhile, exports of textiles and apparel fell by 3.9 per cent, with apparel and yarn exports dropping, while fabric exports saw a slight increase during the same period.
