Vietnam has not been and neither is expected to be significantly hit by new US trade policies as its exports are not in direct competition with US firms inside US, deputy minister of trade and industry Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan has said.
Rather Vietnam’s exports allow US consumers to access more affordable goods, he said.
He is scheduled to hold a meeting with the US trade representative on March 13.
