Vietnam’s textile and garment exports (excluding yarn and fibre) grew by 8.1 per cent year-on-year to $24.35 billion in January-August.
Yarn exports rose 1.4 per cent to $2.92 billion, with China and US as key markets.
Cotton and fabric imports also saw significant increases.
After 12 per cent decline in 2023, VITAS has set a lower export target of $44 billion for 2024.
