Although it feels like 2022 just started, we’re already halfway through the year. As fashion editors, we’ve done a lot of shopping, trying-on, and outfit experimenting these past six months, and we’re ready to share the items that have become consistent staples in our wardrobe. While we love sharing our top picks at the end of the year, we thought we’d give our halfway review, so you can shop the pieces and wear for the remainder of 2022. We’re against gatekeeping, and want to share in on the sartorial goodness.
The fashion market is indeed saturated—a dizzying amount of pieces hitting the market each week. It can be intimidating to find the right pieces, but that’s where us editors come in. Below, you’ll find the shopping picks we keep gravitating towards, including shots of how we’ve been wearing them so you can get a little styling inspiration. Since this is our job, it takes a lot to impress us, so just know the finds below are worth your time and money.
I finally discovered the best T-shirts in existence and they’re sitting at Uniqlo for $20. Designed in the Parisian atelier of Christophe Lemaire, it’s easy to see how much attention went into the design—the shape is perfection and the fabric feels very luxe.
This year, I’ve been focused on editing a collection of versatile staples in my closet and can’t get enough of the crisp button-downs from Hommegirls. This striped style is already a go-to piece, and I currently have another color sitting in my cart.
White tank tops have been on heavy rotation this year, whether layered under button-downs or worn alone with relaxed trousers and plenty of accessories this warm weather season. This LNA tank top and white relaxed Topshop tank are some of my most-worn so far.
I’ve spent a long time trying to find the perfect trouser, bought this Pixie Market pair on a while, and it’s been smooth sailing since. I’m 5”3 and it hits at the perfect length, and it just always makes me look chic.
My Staud bags are always my favorite out of my collection, but this cream Moon bag has gotten the most wear. The shape is unique, but it just elevates any outfit I pair it with. I’ve worn this with suits, airy dresses, and even basic tees. It also fits a lot more than a regular shoulder bag, so I’d recommend.

Many clogs I’ve tried turn out to be ridiculously uncomfortable, but this pair has my stamp of approval. I’ve worn it while trekking around the city and had zero discomfort. I like to keep these right next to my door because that’s how much I gravitate towards them. (Plus, they just look incredibly cool.)
This Line by K top is one of the biggest home run shopping purchases I’ve ever made. It is as easy to wear as a tee, but heaps more sophisticated. It shows off your shape while still being office appropriate, and is the legit perfect length to tuck into jeans and trousers without any bulk. I am beyond obsessed. Reformation also has a very similar style with several color options and more sizes in stock.

These socks are the official hot girl walk socks of TikTok. Apparently they’re also a dupe for a more expensive version at Aritzia. They’re the perfect length, and opening up my sock drawer to a bunch of these brings me happiness
I have had these earrings for a month now and wear them every single day. They completely replaced my other hoops. They’re lightweight, so I don’t worry that they’re pulling on my lobes. I love that I got to pick the custom design, and the mix of emerald and diamonds is eye-catching, yet completely wearable.
People go out of their way to compliment me on these trousers, which I find unusual since they’re more of a wardrobe staple than a statement piece, but that’s how you know they’re special. I’ve worn them both to the airport and to the office, AKA they rank high in comfort and chicness. I love them so much I had to invest in the matching blazer, too.
I’d been chasing after a great black blazer for what felt like years before I added this one to my closet. Since it’s technically unisex, it has a boxy, oversized fit that I think comes pretty close to perfection and for that reason I’d also suggest going down a whole size. I wear it multiple times a week with everything from jeans to dresses.
These are the most comfortable heeled sandals in my closet so naturally I wear them as often as I can. You’d be surprised how soft PVC can be and the platform makes the height feel like nothing.
I’ve been living in relaxed shirting this year, and the styles from Alex Mill are essentials in my wardrobe. They’re great quality and lightweight.
My new go-to sunglasses? This chic pair from Prada. I basically wear them every single day as the ideal finishing touch to all of my looks. I found these for a great deal on Italist.

White tank tops might seem like an easy thing to purchase, but there’s a big difference between the really good ones and the styles that don’t quite live up to the hype. This one from Caes, though, absolutely falls into the former category. I love the neckline and the thick ribbing, which makes it feel far more elevated than most tanks I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a lot of them).
Never underestimate the power of a really cool pair of sunglasses. I get so many compliments on these Prada x Raf Simons shades and wear them at least once a week. They have an almost sporty shape to them which is extremely trendy at the moment and the logo makes them 10x cooler than most of the eyewear on the market.
I’ve been wearing this Marine Serre tank top more than any other basic in my wardrobe since I got it. The fit is so good (although I do recommend going up a size) and it’s just a little cooler than a plain white tank.
