Airbond, a BTMA member in South Wales, won the Make UK Energy and Sustainability Award for using 3D-printed lattice designs to cut material use, waste and weight in pneumatic splicers while improving efficiency.
Fellow members Cygnet Texkimp and Roaches International were also recognised for innovations in composites machinery, fibre placement and autoclave technologies.
