Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one Who What Wear team member or friend of the brand will share the top 30 fashion and beauty finds on their current wish list.
Let me tell you something: I, for one, am ready for summer. After a long, rainy winter and a slow start to warmer temps, I’ve never wanted a humid, New York City summer more. The first sign of summer, as a beauty editor, is when I start making smart product swaps for hot weather. Once it gets above 80 degrees outside, I banish all full-coverage makeup and heavy creams, and prioritize glowy skin, glossy lips, and products that make my humidity-sensitive hair more managable. This summer, there are a few products I’ll be prioritizing above the rest. Keep scrolling for all of my summer essentials that will be on repeat all season long.
Not only does this petroleum jelly give you a boost of occlusive hydration, it has a subtle shimmer in it for the glowiest, summer-ready skin in a pinch. I like applying this to the tops of my shins, my thighs, and my collarbones for added dimension.
This woodsy, rosy scent is deliriously good. It’s such an interesting twist on a floral fragrance—rose is very clearly there on the nose, but it’s grounded with such a strong musky, woodsy scent that it’s perfectly balanced and would smell good on absolutely everyone.
If there’s one thing Who What Wear editors love, it’s an Osea body product. Their newest lotion is an extension of their Undaria line and it’s Ulta-exclusive. It firms and hydrates skin and sinks in quickly.
If you’ve been struggling with damaged nails like me, this nail serum works to strengthen the bonds in your nails to help heal damage and grow stronger. Think K18 or Olaplex, but for your nails.
You could spend for a brow lamination, or you could buy this product that essentially does the same thing for $30. For me, it’s a pretty easy choice.
Makeup by Mario’s new radiant-finish blush is the perfect cream blush for that summer skin look. It blends in easily and is whipped up with hyaluronic acid so it hydrates while it delivers a pop of dreamy color.
I cannot get enough of this eye palette. It’s a great mix of mattes, shimmers, and neons. The pool-blue shade “Cybersmile” is one of the most gorgeous shadows I’ve seen in a while.
This summer, this is what I’ll be using on a daily basis. It’s a sheer, hydrating lip color that delivers tons of reflective shine and a popsicle-like wash of color. The texture is amazing—it’s a hybrid between a lip balm and a lipstick, and you truly get the best of both worlds.
I’m of the opinion that a spray-on lotion is the best kind of lotion. It’s just so easy to use! I will be spritzing this on my legs as I run out the door all summer long for a boost of dewy hydration that smells subtle and clean.
Dr. Diamond’s Instafacial is one of the most coveted facials out there. A-listers frequently get it right before an event to look their absolute best. It makes sense—the treatment is tailored specifically to your skin’s needs, and involves a laser, PRP injections, and microneedling. Unfortunately, it’s costly and the waitlist is miles long—which is where Metacine, his new skincare line, comes in to fill the void. The Instafacial Plasma is the next-best thing to getting your own PRP put back into your face. You’ll have smoother, plumper, more even skin after just a couple weeks of use.
I stopped using vitamin C serum for a while since I felt like they never did much for me, but this vitamin C from Yonka has completely changed my mind. Ever since I’ve started using it, I’ve had brighter, more even-toned skin.
If you want to put on a product before bed and wake up with the smoothest skin you’ve ever had, you need this body retinol in your life, which works both immediately (thanks to actives like AHA for exfoliation) and long-term (thanks to retinol for crepeiness and uneven texture).
I’ve been adding these chlorophyll drops to my water every morning, and I’ve seen a major difference in my energy levels and how good I feel. I struggle with bloating at the drop of a hat, and I’ve been noticeably less bloated since I started taking these consistently, which is a major win for me.
I live in slicked-back buns in the summer, and this gel has been my holy grail for the sleekest styles imaginable.
If you’re after sunburn blush that lights up your whole face, this viral product is exactly what you’re looking for.
In the summer, I often forgo face makeup and only wear Glowscreen, and I never get more compliments on my skin.
When I opt for Glowscreen as my only face makeup, Glossier’s Stretch Concealer is all I use for a bit of extra coverage.
This is one of the more innovative hair products I’ve tried recently. Activated by heat, it works to rebuild the surface of your hair and add shine.
Merit’s limited edition fire-engine red lipstick shade is the ultimate summer lip. Aptly named “Apertif,” it’s basically begging you to wear it to after-work happy hour al fresco.
My skin’s been a bit reactive lately, so I turned to this sleeping mask for some TLC. I’ve now swapped it for my typical night cream—it’s infused with Cica, so every morning, I wake up with my skin feeling rejuvenated and restored.
This hydrating lip balm is Sofia Richie Grainge approved. Need I say more?
Chanel released travel-sized versions of their beloved Les Beiges line just in time for summer travel. Their Water-Fresh Tint is the perfect makeup product for barely-there, breathable coverage.
This new contour pen from Victoria Beckham couldn’t be easier to use thanks to it’s small tip and super glide-able texture. It gives you the most natural-looking contour imaginable.
Add a few of these Sunshine Drops into your moisturizer to look like you just got back from St. Tropez even if you’ve been mostly working from your couch.
This is possibly the only eye cream I’ve ever used that I feel like actually mitigates my dark circles, and that’s saying something.
This invisible roll-on deodorant has become my favorite deodorant recently
I love a highlighter-blush hybrid, and this new one from Saie is absolutely dreamy. It’s shimmery, buildable, and has the most delicious color payoff.
As an extremely pale person, sometimes, just sunscreen doesn’t cut it for me when I’m in the sun for long hours. My dermatologist recommended I take these Heliocare pills for when I’m at the beach or on long runs, and they’re going to be a constant for my summer outings.
Glowy body sunscreen is just a bit more fun than the average sunscreen on a day spent in the sun.
I am fully impressed by the new Dyson Airstrait, which takes my thick, wavy hair from wet to straight in 10 minutes with no damage.
