Bangladesh’s Chattogram Port Authority will soon sign a 30-year agreement with APM Terminals BV, a Dutch subsidiary of AP Moller-Maersk Group, to develop and operate Laldia container terminal (LCT) at the port under the PPP mode.
The LCT will be capable of handling ships nearly twice the size of those currently accommodated at the New Mooring container terminal, reducing dependence on trans-shipment ports.
