Australia’s University of New South Wales has developed a fire-resistant spray that could slow the rate at which cotton materials catch fire.
The water-based spray coats fabric with a virtually invisible layer of protection without altering the fabric’s softness or breathability.
The formula uses non-toxic ingredients consisting of phosphorous and nitrogen elements and a water-soluble cellulose extract.
