BASF has completed the $1.15 billion sale of its Brazilian decorative paints business to Sherwin-Williams on October 1, 2025.
The deal includes Suvinil and Glasu! brands, two production sites, contracts, and 1,000 staff.
The unit, with 2024 sales of $525 million, was BASF’s only major B2C business.
BASF said the move aligns with its Winning Ways strategy and portfolio streamlining.
