BASF has started up its new hexamethylenediamine (HMD) plant in Chalampé, France, boosting annual capacity to 260,000 metric tons.
The plant supports BASF’s polyamide (PA) 6.6 growth strategy in Europe.
Together with its PA 6.6 expansion in Germany, BASF aims to strengthen its position as a key HMD supplier and partner for PA 6.6 in Europe.
