The US state of California and the European Commission have affirmed their shared commitment to climate action, the importance of California-EU cooperation and the need to accelerate the global transition to a carbon-neutral, resilient and equitable future.
They will further collaborate in carbon pricing; zero-emission vehicles; reducing emissions from maritime and freight, and industrial decarbonisation.
