China is hopeful of the US adopting an objective, rational view of the implementation of the first phase of the China-US economic and trade deal.
Urging the latter to refrain from shifting blame and avoid using China as a pretext to create trouble or provoke issues, it said if the US starts a probe or imposes tariffs or restrictive measures, China will take safeguard its legitimate rights and interests.
