China has regained its position as Germany’s top trading partner, surpassing the United States from January–September 2025, according to Destatis.
Trade turnover with China reached €185.9 billion (~$214.47 billion), slightly above the €184.7 billion with the US.
Chinese trade grew 0.6 per cent, while US trade fell 3.9 per cent, reflecting weaker demand and investment.
