China has launched an AI-driven action plan for its shipping industry under the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030).
The roadmap outlines a two-phase strategy focusing on technology, pilots, infrastructure, and governance.
By 2027, it targets pilot zones, routes, and smart vessels, while by 2030 it aims for full technological capability and globally competitive smart shipping development.
