China’s consumer price index rose by 1.2 per cent YoY in April—up by 0.2 percentage point from the previous month, according to official data.
The core CPI, which excludes food and energy prices, also increased by 1.2 per cent YoY.
On a monthly basis, the CPI climbed by 0.3 per cent in April, reversing a 0.7-per cent drop in March.
The country’s producer price index went up by 2.8 per cent YoY in April.
