China’s power use hit 1.02 trillion kWh in July, up 8.6 per cent year on year, driven by industrial activity and household demand during heat waves, the National Energy Administration said.
Primary industry use rose 20.2 per cent, secondary 4.7 per cent, and tertiary 10.7 per cent, while residential surged 18 per cent.
From Jan–Jul, consumption grew 4.5 per cent to over 5.86 trillion kWh.
