A Chinese research team has designed a triboelectric acoustic textile that helps AI systems recognise voice commands by amplifying the electrostatic charges generated during speech.
Dubbed A-Textile, the fabric developed by a team led by researchers from Soochow University is soft, flexible and washable unlike conventional rigid and bulky acoustic devices.
The research was published in Science Advances.
