Chloë Sevigny has lived at the center of my year-round mood board for about as long as I can remember. The Kids actress and all-around fashion girl just has an effortless air about her. If she were French, I’d refer to it as a certain je ne sais quoi, but she’s not. Born and raised on the East Coast, Sevigny is, instead, New York City cool, and her low-key yet elevated style shows that. So when her first look since NYC warmed up this week arrived on my radar, my interest was piqued. And as always, she didn’t disappoint.

On Tuesday, Sevigny was spotted in SoHo wearing the five-piece anti-trend outfit you’ll definitely see me copying in the coming days, weeks, and months: a white button-down shirt, dark-wash vintage jeans, a bomber jacket, flats, and a designer tote bag. (Hers is Chanel’s buzzy new 22 handbag.) And since gatekeeping is wrong, albeit tempting, I went ahead and rounded up all the items you need to replicate the style icon’s effortless ensemble.
