Euro area inflation rose to 2 per cent in June 2025 from 1.9 per cent in May, while EU inflation reached 2.3 per cent, up from 2.2 per cent, as per Eurostat.
Romania had the highest inflation at 5.8 per cent, and Cyprus the lowest at 0.5 per cent.
Inflation rose in 22 member states.
Non-energy industrial goods added to inflation, while energy had a dampening effect.
