The EU may resume talks on a US trade deal agreed in July 2025 after President Donald Trump took back a tariff threat issued while seeking support from European allies for his wish to acquire Greenland, the European Parliament’s President Roberta Metsola has said.
European Council President Antonio Costa chaired an emergency summit in Brussels to reassess US ties.
The summit didn’t arrive at any decision.
