Godavari Biorefineries Limited (GBL), led by Samir Somaiya, has launched a pilot project with ICT Mumbai to convert industrial CO₂ into Dimethyl Ether (DME), a clean, low-emission fuel alternative to LPG and diesel.
The innovation, which won the 2024 KV Mariwala Award, marks a milestone in sustainability, emission reduction, and India’s path toward energy security and rural prosperity.
