Germany’s inflation rose to 2.2 per cent in August 2025 from 2 per cent in July.
Consumer prices edged up 0.1 per cent month-on-month.
Core inflation, excluding food and energy, stayed at 2.7 per cent, reflecting persistent pressures in services and goods.
Goods prices climbed 1.3 per cent, while energy costs fell 2.4 per cent, a slower decline than July’s 3.4 per cent.
