Germany’s CPI inflation rate stood at 2.6 per cent in May this year. The rise in overall consumer prices, therefore, slowed, after having stood at 2.9 per cent in April 2026 and 2.7 per cent in March.
Compared with April this year, consumer prices were down by 0.2 per cent in May.
The prices of energy products were 6.6 per cent higher YoY in May 2026.
Core inflation stood at 2.5 per cent in May.
