Global cotton production is forecast to fall 4 per cent to 24.9 million tonnes in 2026-27 due to weak demand, lower prices and reduced planting, said International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC).
Consumption is seen stable at 25 million tonnes, while trade may drop 2.5 per cent.
Bangladesh will remain the top importer, with global flows shaped by policy and geopolitical risks.
