Global goods imports hit by new tariffs and other import measures introduced between mid-October 2024 to mid-October 2025 were worth $2,640 billion—a more than four-fold rise from the preceding 12-month period, the WTO said.
This marked the highest coverage in over 15 years.
Including similar export measures, the total trade hit was worth $2,966 billion—over thrice recorded in the preceding 12 months.
