Becca Tobin is a woman of many trades. She is an actress (don’t miss her in the Disney+ series reboot of Turner & Hooch), singer and dancer (who doesn’t love a Kitty Wilde number from Glee?), podcast host (the unfiltered celebrity interviews on her LadyGang podcast are truly delightful), and best-selling author (Act Like a Lady is a hilarious, essential read). Today, we’re adding one more: blazer aficionado. Inspired by her attorney family members and Turner & Hooch character’s impeccable wardrobe, the structured layer has become a mainstay in Tobin’s wardrobe as of late, popping up in both casual and after-hours looks alike. Knowing this, we tapped the multi-hyphenate to break down a few of her favorite blazer-centric outfits and share the styles she’s loving right now. Lucky for us, it’s one heck of a shopping list!
I loved my character Brooke’s wardrobe in Turner & Hooch. Brooke is an assistant United States attorney, so I wore a lot of really great suits accessorized with some very chic pumps. My mother and sister are both attorneys, so I’ve been surrounded by powerful women in suits my entire life, and it felt very special and nostalgic to emulate that on the show.

I call this look “refined casual,” and it’s perfect for a day of travel. I look for any excuse to wear sweatpants, so this ensemble enables me to do just that and not look like a slob. I also just love layering cardigans under blazers.
Look 2
This is my go-to outfit for a night out! I refer to it as the “non-cheugy millennial” because of the (non-skinny) denim and crop top. I don’t do crop tops often, but I make an exception under a great oversize blazer.

In the Gossip Girl renaissance we are having, I am very into the school-girl vibe. This exact outfit will be coming with me on my trip to NYC this fall!
