India’s central government recently discussed with West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari the possibility of transforming the state as a maritime, logistics and shipbuilding hub with a proposed maritime investment pipeline of $2 billion by 2031.
The proposed investments under the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047 would strengthen logistics efficiency, reduce transportation costs and back exports.
