India has hiked the allocation of commercial LPG cylinders from 50 per cent to 70 per cent of the pre-crisis level of the packed non-domestic LPG.
The decision will prioritise labour-intensive industries like textile, dye and chemicals.
Priority would be given to process industries or those that need LPG for specialised heating.
Additional excise duty on petrol and diesel has been cut by ₹10 per litre.
