After cumulative duties hit 50 per cent in late 2025, the February 6, 2026 interim deal cut India to 18 per cent, below Vietnam (20%), Bangladesh (19%) and Indonesia (19%).
But the 10 per cent Section 122 surcharge expires on July 24, 2026.
H2 2025 imports collapsed 25.4 per cent to $2.216 billion; AEPC now eyes a $16 billion FY27.
