India’s BPCL and the Central Road Research Institute have developed geocells—a technical textile product made from end-of-life and mixed waste plastic.
The organisations and the National Highways Authority of India recently inaugurated the technology’s first field trial on the DND-Faridabad- KMP Expressway.
The innovation will go for field trials with the Military Engineering Services in August.
