India’s Leading Economic Index (LEI) rose by 1.5 per cent in April 2026 to 166.2 after declining in March, indicating stronger near-term economic momentum, according to The Conference Board.
The Coincident Economic Index (CEI), which reflects current economic conditions, increased by 3.6 per cent to 161.1.
Over the six months ending April 2026, LEI growth slightly accelerated.
