India’s merchandise exports dropped in February for the first time in four months, falling by 0.8 per cent YoY, official data show.
Officials, however, have cautioned March could be ‘challenging’ as the crisis in the Middle East has disrupted freight movements through the Strait of Hormuz.
Such imports in the month rose by 24.1 per cent YoY to $63.7 billion, leading to a trade deficit of $27.1 billion.
