A British Chambers of Commerce survey found 80 per cent of UK firms are experiencing or expecting disruption from the Iran conflict, mainly through higher energy prices, shipping delays and rising raw material costs.
Manufacturing reported the biggest impact.
Around 75 per cent of businesses expect energy bills to rise over the next year, while more than a third anticipate difficulties paying costs.
